Sundays In Bed With…..

Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

This is being hosted by two of the sweetest people I have the privilege of knowing in real life, Kate and Kim. Sadly we don’t talk like we use to because you know real life happens but there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of them both. If you click on the banner it will take you right to the Midnight Book Girl blog.

One would hope that on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning that one would be able to stay in bed to read for a little while and take advantage of not having to be anywhere or do anything so early right? Well that was not the case this morning. I was up half the night tossing and turning because my knee and ankle were achy, then when I did manage to get some sleep I would have weird dreams that made no sense. So needless to say I ended up getting up way to early this morning. I did make some tea and curl up on the couch.

I finished this up:

The Summer Of Us

Then started this:

Not for Me (The Windy City Chronicles Book 1) by [de Falla, Kat]

Manda Wolfgram is a struggling literary agent who is looking for the perfect manuscript to land in her lap
and the perfect man to land in her bed. When the sixth-floor hottie finally asks her out, she gets more than she bargained for. How can a girl wrap her brain around a Shakespearean actor who writes erotica?

Harry Sackes leads a double life: making a career as an author by day and dipping into the dark
underworld of criminals at night. The moment he sees Manda in his twin brother’s arms, his whole life
becomes his personal Shakespearean trag-comedy of mistaken identity and unrequited love in this fast-
paced chick lit romance.

Up next will be:

Tell Me No Lies

Can the course of friendship or love ever run true when everyone has something to hide?

Lizzy Swift is a senior in high school, emerging from her nerd chrysalis to become a social butterfly. She’s dating Matt Ashley, the boy who’s been out of her reach since freshman year. Her bold, reckless new friend Claire Reynolds introduces her to Center City Philadelphia—clubs, street life, and the eye-opening art scene. And her Ivy League ambitions take a backseat to nights of partying, dancing, and dating.

But almost as quickly, the heady delight of Lizzy’s new life is clouded by doubts and deceptions.  While she has a special connection with Matt, it’s not the perfect romance she dreamed of. Claire carries around a mysterious sadness and talks about a breakup so bad she changed schools—but she won’t tell Lizzy the whole story. Lizzy wants Claire to confide in her, even as she keeps her own embarrassing secrets from her new best friend.

Will the truth come to light before it’s too late for Lizzy, Claire, and Matt to save their love and friendships?

I have decided that I want to get back into doing this fun weekly meme.

Its a beautiful warm sunny day here in Montreal. Its feeling like summer might actually come.

I didn’t actually stay in bed reading this morning because it was just to sunny to stay in bed so I managed to make some coffee and sit out on the back deck until everyone got up. It was nice as there was a light breeze and the birds were chirping.

I am finishing up this today:

Dear Martin

Justyce McAllister is a good kid, an honor student, and always there to help a friend—but none of that matters to the police officer who just put him in handcuffs. Despite leaving his rough neighborhood behind, he can’t escape the scorn of his former peers or the ridicule of his new classmates.

Justyce looks to the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for answers. But do they hold up anymore? He starts a journal to Dr. King to find out.

Then comes the day Justyce goes driving with his best friend, Manny, windows rolled down, music turned up—way up, sparking the fury of a white off-duty cop beside them. Words fly. Shots are fired. Justyce and Manny are caught in the crosshairs. In the media fallout, it’s Justyce who is under attack.

Then next up is:

The Summer Of Us

American expat Aubrey has only two weeks left in Europe before she leaves for college, and she’s nowhere near ready. Good thing she and her best friend, Rae, have planned one last group trip across the continent. From Paris to Prague, they’re going to explore famous museums, sip champagne in fancy restaurants, and eat as many croissants as possible with their friends Clara, Jonah, and Gabe.

But when old secrets come to light, Aubrey and Rae’s trip goes from a carefree adventure to a complete disaster. For starters, there’s Aubrey and Gabe’s unresolved history, complicated by the fact that Aubrey is dating Jonah, Gabe’s best friend. And then there’s Rae’s hopeless crush on the effortlessly cool Clara. How is Rae supposed to admit her feelings to someone so perfect when they’re moving to different sides of the world in just a few weeks?

Author Cecilia Vinesse delivers a romantic European adventure that embraces the magic of warm summer nights, the thrill of first kisses, and the bittersweet ache of learning to say goodbye to the past while embracing the future.

Good Sunday Morning everyone. I hope you all had a great week and weekend too. Its a long weekend here in Canada because its our Thanksgiving. It was a busy hockey weekend as well with two practices and we found out since last week that Michael has made the Bantam A team and he got his favorite number 4 this year. I am a co-manager so it will be different this year stepping back.

I hope you are curled up in bed reading this morning. Sadly I am not because I needed to be up early to hit the grocery store for 8am to do groceries for the week plus the last few things for our turkey dinner on Monday.

Alright now to get into the books I read this past week, which sadly isn’t much for some reason:

There's Someone Inside Your House

The Uncrossing

This week I am reading:

Always With You

Sublime Karma

What do you have planned for this week?

Good Sunday Morning everyone. I hope everyone had a great week/weekend. It was a little busy this weekend with Michael’s last evaluation yesterday. He ended up in the A group and so far likes the kids on his team. Sadly I didn’t make manager this time around and I think that was based on a few things which rather annoy me if you know me in real life.

Today will be a little busy as Michael is up and out the door already (7.30 am EST) because he has to be at a all day score keeping course and then I have to go to my great aunt’s funeral. Its hard to believe that I no longer have any aunts or uncles alive.

So anyways before I ramble on because I am tired and barely slept last night here is the books I read last week:

Good Morning everyone. I hope you all had a great week and weekend. It was busy here once again. Saturday I got to meet up with Tina from Bookshipper for breakfast and then Michael had his first evaluation and then today he has another evaluation. Thankfully that is all that is planned for today apart from the regular chores and duties of owning a house.

This past week I read:

This Girl: A Novel (Slammed) by [Hoover, Colleen]

The Missing: The Curious Cases of Will Winchester and the Black Cross by [Lenk, Jerico]

Good Morning everyone. I hope you are able to curl up and read for a bit this morning. Sadly I am not able to be curled up reading because today is literally a jammed pack day. Michael has pre-camp this morning for hockey, then I am running to Costco with my sister, Michael is shadowing in score keeping (he wants to do that this year) and then tonight he has a score keeping meeting so it will be none stop.

This past week I finished:

33509076

This is the second book in the slammed series and  so far so good. I am really enjoying Colleen’s books.

For the upcoming week I am reading:

This Girl: A Novel (Slammed) by [Hoover, Colleen]

The Missing: The Curious Cases of Will Winchester and the Black Cross by [Lenk, Jerico]

After that I am not quite sure what I will be reading next.

Good Morning everyone. Hope you all had a good week this past week. Its been busy here this week with Monday being a holiday (Labour Day) and that signified the last long weekend of Summer 2017. Where did the summer go? Plus we had to do some hockey equipement shopping because someone grew over the summer. Its official my son is now taller then me.

With buying new equipement that means hockey is right around the corner and this weekend and next is pre-camp and then it will be evaluations to decide if he will play Bantam A or B and who will be on his team and who will be the coaches. Before I know it, it will be the regular season.

Anyways here is what I read this week:

The Party: A Novel by [Harding, Robyn]

My review will be posted shortly for this. I really enjoyed it.

31450633

I will also be posting my review for this shortly and all I have to say is OMG…this book I have no words for.

30333938

This has been sitting on my TBR shelf for awhile and I finally decided to take it down to read and all I have to say is why haven’t I read more of Colleen Hoover’s books?

28117964

Finally the last book I read this week was this and it was for a blog tour that I did on Friday. I really enjoyed this retelling of Cinderella. You can read my review here.

Now for the book I am currently reading before getting ready for hockey is:

33509076

I will have my review of this posted tomorrow as I am on a blog tour for this book.

Not sure what is up next as I am kind of flipping between a few books and I just want to make sure I have no upcoming tours this week that requires reviews.

I hope you have a great reading day and week.
