Sunday’s In Bed With….

Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

This is being hosted by two of the sweetest people I have the privilege of knowing in real life, Kate and Kim. Sadly we don’t talk like we use to because you know real life happens but there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of them both.

Good Morning Everyone. What a crazy week its been and sadly not much reading was getting done.

Its that time of the year for vacation and this year we didn’t go anywhere because we had to buy a new car in May so its been basically a get things done off our every growing to do list as a home owner and this week I have been tackling my bookcases and other chores.

So nothing much was read last week and I am currently reading these:

Children Of Blood And Bone: The Orïsha LegacyBelieve Me: A NovelThe Girl on Camera

Its been another hot week in Montreal with no rain in sight and we need it badly. No incidents this week thankfully. It was a pretty uneventful week.

I think this morning I will be able to curl up in bed and read for a while because my sister in law is in town and staying with us and it probably won’t be a early morning so it will be nice to stay in bed to read for a while.

I realize as I sit here to write this post that I don’t think I read a while lot this week and I am not quite sure why.

Currently reading:

Heartwood Hotel Book 1: A True HomeThe Girl on Camera

The Girl on Camera is for an upcoming blog tour I am on,

Heartwood Hotel: A true Home by Kallie George was a book I bought this week on impulse. I spotted this on the shelf and was instantly drawn in by the cover. I picked it up and read the first two chapters and feel in love so I had to pick it up to read. Its a super sweet kids book. Plus she is a Canadian author. I have to support Canadian authors.

Plan on Reading this week:

Heartwood Hotel Book 2: The Greatest GiftHeartwood Hotel, Book 3 Better TogetherHeartwood Hotel, Book 4 Home Again

Second Time AroundHalf Empty

I know I will finish the Heartwood Hotel series because they are super quick reads and all under 200 pages and I am hoping to finish Second Time Around and Half Empty because those are upcoming blog tours.

What a week its been in Montreal. Its been hot and humid all week with the temperatures getting as high as 40+ with the humidity. Sadly Thursday my son ended up with heat exhaustion and it was not fun. With two calls made to Info Sante and a trip to the hospital he was feeling himself by bed time.

In case you are unfamiliar Info Sante it’s a free and confidential telephone consultation service information line you can call and you will speak with a nurse who will assistant you and tell you want to do so that your not rushing to the hospital or a walk in clinic if not needed. We use this literally all the time when in doubt.

This past week I read:

Love, Hate And Other FiltersInternational Guy: Paris, New York, Copenhagen

Currently still reading:

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To A…

I am well over half way through the book and if your wondering why its taking me so long is its because its a library book and I hate reading those in bed.

Not sure what is up next as I am flipping and flopping about what I want to read. I want to read something light and fun.

Its another  holiday weekend here in Quebec (Canada Day) so not quite sure what is planned today but I am hoping that it will be a chill weekend probably indoors because we are in a special weather advisory warning which is a heat warning. Its going to be hot and humid the next few days which I am trying not to complain about because Newfoundland got snow again last week.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (To A…Love, Hate And Other Filters

I am half way through To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and the reason I am taking longer to read this is because its a library book and I hate going to bed with library books. Anyone else like that? So I am currently reading two books at once and wow that is really strange for me to do but I take my own books to bed.

If I finish those I am hoping to tackle these:

P.S. I Still Love YouAlways and Forever, Lara Jean

Its a holiday here in Quebec (St Jean Baptiste Day) so basically everything is closed here today which is okay since I managed to get our groceries done yesterday and we even went strawberry picking  so I am thinking it will be a chill day with lots of reading perhaps along with laundry and prepping for a BBQ tonight. I don’t think I will be going to fireworks just because of the bugs and I am still chomped up from last weekend when we were invited to our friends place for a BBQ and we were outdoors the whole time.

Not quite sure how many dads read my blog but just in case there is any Happy Father’s Day.

We decide to start Father’s Day off with packing up, grabbing some breakfast and heading down to the lakeshore for a picnic breakfast. I am hopefully going to sneak some reading in while I am there.

This is what I am currently reading:

Depth Of Field: A Pippa Greene Novel

Two weeks in New York City should be the time of Pippa’s life: she’s attending the prestigious Tisch Photography Camp. But what should be 14 unforgettable days of bliss turns into chaos when her one and only nemesis, Ben Baxter, proves to be surprisingly more complex than she could’ve ever imagined, and her Tisch mentor, a renowned photographer, seems to have a lot more to do with her parents’ past than anyone wants her to know. Is Pippa out of her depth?

Picking up where she left off in The Rule of Thirds, Pippa Greene returns in Depth of Field, a story full of the same heart, comedic touches, and romance that made readers fall in love with Chantel Guertin’s charming YA series.

Since I am almost done that I am going to read:

Leading Lines: A Pippa Greene Novel

After two drama-filled weeks in Manhattan, Pippa Greene is back. Despite a romantic reunion with boyfriend Dylan, she can’t seem to shake the emotional aftermath of New York. As she navigates parental drama at home and her charged dynamic with Ben Baxter at school, Pippa finds that Dylan is more wrapped up in his post-high-school life of bands, shows, and new friends than in their relationship. Will it survive?

Since they are all pretty much quick reads with less then 200 pages I will finish off the series with this:

Golden Hour: A Pippa Greene Novel

The fourth and final book in the beloved Pippa Greene series

It’s senior year, and the college countdown is on. But instead of getting accepted to Tisch’s photography program, Pippa’s been waitlisted. Without a backup plan, and with the pressure from everyone around her to live up to her father’s legacy, Pippa sets out to prove herself worthy of the program by doing the opposite of everything she did to try to get in. But when she runs into her ex, and first love, Dylan McCutter, Pippa has to finally decide if she should follow her head or her heart.

So that is what I am reading today and probably this week and I did finish up all my reads from last week that I posted.
