I love the packaging of the February box, don’t you?

As soon as the box came I was ripping into it. It smelled good and I was curious to see what the smell was and where it was coming from.

IMG_0003

The first item I spotted when I opened up the packaging was this Rituals Cosmetics Foaming Shower Gel Sensations in Yogi Flow. I had no idea what to expect when I used it the first time but let me say a little goes a long way. It actually comes out like a shaving gel but lathers up really nicely. I used a lot more then I probably should have but lesson learned. It smells really nice too. Its a long lasting scent which is nice because there is not a lot of shower gels that do that. It has ancient Ayurvedic ingredients of almond oil and Indian rose.

This was a full size item at 6.7 fl oz for $15.00 and this isn’t to expensive if you had wanted to repurchase. Its available online in seven scents.

Another full size item is the Julep Color Treat in the shade Heart Leigh nail polish. There is metallic specks along with white sparkles and teeny tiny little hearts which is perfect to wear this month of February. Its limited edition. Its $14.00 for 027 fl oz. Which mean seem expensive for a nail polish but its really good because its a 5 free oxygen formula that is vegan and gluten free and its actually good for you to use because it allows your nail beds to breathe. I noticed a difference when I use this to regular nail polish.

This was something that pecked my interest when I saw it in the box. Its Unwash Bio-Cleansing Conditioner. This is suppose to replace your shampoo and conditioner. It cleanses without stripping your natural oils. moisture or color. I will be keeping this for when I go on vacation because I always have a problem with hotel showers and getting the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair completely so this will be something that I plan on using them.

The full size is $36.00 for 13.5 oz and I got a deluxe sample of 2.5 oz Thankfully there is a few places in NYC that I could pick this up if I really like it.

I think this was making the box smell so good. Its the Teadora Nourishing Beauty Bar in Rainforest at Dawn. Its a bar of soap that hydrates and firms your skin leaving it soft and glowing. Its suppose to smell like a Brazilian rainforest. If this is what its suppose to be like sign me up because I want to go. The scent was citrusy with some bergamot and lemon blended with woods, florals, basil and eucalyptus. I can’t wait to put this into the bathroom to use.

Its full size and it sells for $5 for 1.5oz.

Finally the last item in the box is Royal Apothic and its their Tinties Lip Butter in Pink. I love the vintage like packaging of the lip butter don’t you? The lid is a rose gold which I think adds to the packaging. It has the soothing ingredients of argan, grape seed, almond oil and shea butter. Its a tinted lip butter that isn’t too bright and when I put a little on it looked very natural. It leaves your lips soft and not sticky.

This is a full size item and it sells for $14.00 for 0.12 oz

So this month we got four full size items and one deluxe sized sample. This is month four and I have to say that I really enjoyed this months box. Its nice to see them staying on par each and every month. So as long as they keep it up I will continue to support GlossyBox.

GlossyBox January Edition

I am always excited when Glossy Box comes each month. This is one of those boxes I try to avoid watching or reading any spoilers on.

The first item I am going to talk about is the Skin & Co Roma Sicilian Light Serum. Its suppose to correct imperfections while softening and tighening the skin. I haven’t tried using this yet just because we have been so busy with hockey and they way my skin reacts to items I didn’t want to have any kind of reaction so I will be trying this after hockey. I did try a little on my hand and it blend into the skin nicely leaving a nice smooth surface. There is a scent that is nice and not strong.

I was sent a sample size of 0.17 fl oz and the full size is 1 fl oz for $47.00

The next item is the Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Beautiful flat brush stiff. I was thrilled to have gotten this because I always need a eyeshadow brush and the packaging is so pretty. The brush is made with natural hair. The bristles are soft but a little firm with fitted round edges which is perfect for applying powder and cream shadows to both upper and lower eyelids.

This is a full size item and sells for $23.50

Another item I was excited to get was the Kueshi Revitalizing Face Toner. I have never heard of this brand before but I am excited to try it because it promises to rebalance skin with a blend of liquid moisturizers like aloe leaf and flower extracts. Its suppose to control shine in oily prone areas and soften dry spots. I haven’t tried this out yet either for the some reasons mentioned above.

This is a full size item and is 6.76 fl oz for $13.30

Vichy is a brand I am familiar with so it was nice to see that I got the purete Thermale 3-1 One step cleanser. I am excited to try this out because its an all in one formula (cleansing milk, toner and make up remover). I will probably save this and use it when we travel with hockey or on vacation this summer when I know time is limited for time to get ready. I love that you can just wipe it away with or without water.

I got a sample size of 1 flo oz and the full size is $19.50 for 6.7 fl oz. I love that this isn’t too expensive and that if you like it you won’t be breaking the bank to repurchase this.

Finally the last item is by Lollipops and they sent an Eye Pencil in Goodbye Moon. I have never heard of this brand before and its a retractable eyeliner pencil in black. Its long lasting. Its enriched with vitamin e. You can wear as is or smudge it for a smokey eye.

The pencil retails for $17.70 and it was a full size item.

This is my third box and I have to say so far I haven’t been disappointed in anything. This month we got three full size items, one sample size and I would say one deluxe sized sample. This box did pay for itself.

GlossyBox December Edition

As you can see I actually got my December box in December and right before Christmas too. I should let you know now that I purchased this monthly subscription with my own money.

I was surprised to get my box today in the mail. I didn’t think Canada Post was working on Sundays so imagine my surprise when he rang the bell this morning.

IMG_0006
I love the packaging of the Christmas box don’t you?

IMG_0007
Not only is the box Christmasy but so is the tissue paper and the card. It all matches.

IMG_0008

I am going to start off by saying that I love the overall presentation of this months box from the outside all the way to the inside. Don’t you?

I also have to note that once I opened the box it smelt really good. Not quite sure what it is but it smells really good.

Toni & Guy is a brand I have heard of before and I have gotten a few things from this brand before. This is a leave in conditioner (I think this could be what is making the box smell so good). I love trying out hair treatments. This is suppose to protect and prime the hair.

SRV= $16.99 for 3.3 fl oz and this is a full size item.

A brand I have been wanting to try is NUXE and now I can I was sent a Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute. Its a 24 hour soothing and rehydrating fresh mask. Its perfect for this time of the year. It will keep my face moisturized.

SRV=$32 for 1.7oz and this is a full size item too. Wow

Another new to me brand is Rituals Cosmetics but looking at it now I feel as though I have seen this name before but I could be wrong. I got the Miracle Scrub in Ginseng & Ginkgo Biloba. Try and say that 10x fast. Another item that is good this time of the year. I will have the softest hands this winter. I am excited to use this.

SRV= $17 for 2.5 fl oz and this too is a full size item.

IMG_0009

Bellapierre Cosmetics is  brand I am very familiar with as I have gotten several make up items from this brand. I like the packaging on the lipstick. Its a pretty color and its in the shade Burlesque. Its a mineral lipstick. I am going to be trying this out during the holiday season. I have to admit I am not into dark shades but I really like this one.

SRV=$19.99 for 0.12oz and this is a full size item

IMG_0010

This is a mini paint pot in All Aglow by Ciate. I have never tried this before so I will be excited to try this out for Christmas. Looking at it you think its a gold glitter polish but when you look closely you see some tiny flecks of red. It is so pretty and once I do my nails I will post a picture. I will have to try it bare and over a polish to see what it will look like.

SRV= $10 for 0.17oz adn this is a full size item.

The SRV of this months box is $95.98 and I am impressed product/ brand wise and value wise. This is why I love Glossybox. You always get the value back in the box and I am super excited to try everything out this month.

Since I got two boxes in one month I didn’t get a chance to completely try out my last box so starting in January, I will be doing a what I thought of Glossybox post. Not sure if I will include that in my unboxing or a separate post. What do you think?

GlossyBox November Edition

Glossybox is a bespoke box of 5-6 luxury-sized cosmetic and wellness samples hand-picked by our beauty experts and mailed directly to your door. No matter which subscription plan you choose, from once-a-month to just once, this box is perfect little present from you to you!

Yesterday I got my first USA GlossyBox. I was super excited to get this because I have always loved GlossyBox when they were in Canada. This was one of my favorite subscription services.

The outer box has stayed the same as before as is the Glossy Box itself which is nice because the boxes can be reused for something else since they are sturdy and I believe all my previous Glossy Boxes are currently being used.

IMG_0004

One thing I noticed right away was the product card. Its on cardstock which is nice. The product card list what the products are, suggest retail value (SRV) of the item, the size of the full size item and tips on how to use the product.

I love the card because its laid out with the item and its spread out and not jam packed on it.

Lets get into the box shall we. As you can see I got 5 items.

IMG_0005

The first thing I smelled right away was the Kneipp Herbal Bath: Balancing Lavender. I just discovered what lavender can do for you within the last year or so and I have to say what they said was true. I have been using the oil for quite some time to helped me with my mental fatigue and getting me to sleep. So being able to try this herbal bath has been great. The tip suggest using half a bottle but I have been using less then that and I think I am going to get about 4 baths out of this bottle.

SRV = $20 for 3.38 fl oz and I got 0.67 fl oz $5.50

12 Benefits instant Healthy Hair Treatment. This is a leave in treatment that will help correct the damage from chemical processing, pollution and heat styling. The 12 benefits include seals color, smoothes, repairs, prevents split ends, moisturizes, and a few other things. It smells really good. I haven’t tried this yet because I am waiting to get my hair colored then I will test it out.

SRV= $20 for 6 oz and I got 1.5 oz $5

I believe I got something similiar in my Canadian Glossy Box at one point and its the Kryolan For Glossy Box. Its a Blusher in Glossy Pink. I went looking for it but I couldn’t find it (perhaps over Christmas I will). This is a blush that labelled for all so depending on your skin tone it will give different looks.

SRV= I believe this is a full size $16.17 for 0.09 oz (how weird of a price is that?)

OPI Nail Lacquer in Pink Outside The GlossyBox. I believe this was made just for GlossyBox which I think is really nice. It looks white in the photo but in real life its a very pale pink. Its a great color to put on when you want something on your nails but not alot of color. I love OPI polishes. I put this on yesterday and I am sure throughout this season and future ones this will be worn alot. I love that its a limited and special edition because you know only GlossyBox subscribers have this.

SRV= This is a full size item $9.50 for 0.5 fl oz

Finally the last item in the box is by Juice Beauty and its a Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer.  I have gotten this brand before and I don’t recall if I have used my samples up hmm I will need to check on that. I like that this is suppose to replenish and firm your skin. I love that its organic as well. I am excited to try this out.

SRV= $45 for 2 oz and I got 0.5 fl oz for $11.25.

My over all thoughts on the first box is that I am truly impressed. I have been waiting for GlossyBox USA to finally ship to Canada once ours closed and I really hope that it stays and that we get amazing boxes. SRV wise this box was valued at $47.42 as you can see the box did pay for itself and I am quite pleased with what I got.

What do you think?
