Reviews for Metro Diaries 1:

After touching your hearts with ‘Metro Diaries – Love Classics’ she is back now with stories that will redefine life for you!

The stories in Metro Diaries – Love Classics are free from any trappings of youthful slang and fashionable language stunts. These young adults are speaking to the readers with Namrata’s maturity shining through, and Namrata’s ideas of love. – Sakshi Nanda

The language is fairly pleasant to read and the elaborate discussions between characters in each story must have taken a lot of work – because the most difficult job of all authors is to bring out human emotions in proper words. Thankfully, Namrata has concentrated upon it very well! – Dhivya Balaji

About the Author:

Namrata is A Lost Wanderer who loves travelling the length and breadth of the world. A published author in various anthologies and magazines she enjoys capturing the magic of life in her words. She is forever in pursuit of a new country and a new story.

Blu-Ray Giveaway for The Jungle Book

To celebrate the release of The Jungle Book today, I am honored to have the opportunity to give away one blu-ray dvd of the movie to one of my lucky readers. I want to thank Thinkjam and Disney Home Entertainment for allowing me to do this.

Jungle-Book-Bluray-2016

About The Movie:

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2,” “Chef”) and produced by Favreau and Brigham Taylor (executive producer of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” “Tomorrowland”), “The Jungle Book” is a live-action epic adventure based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories, inspired by Disney’s classic 1967 animated film and centered on Mowgli (Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.

The film’s musical score, composed by Emmy® winner and Oscar-, BAFTA- and Annie Award-nominee John Debney (“Elf,” “Iron Man 2”), features a classic orchestral sound accented by ethnic instruments and pays homage to the original film by highlighting snippets of the classic songs we all know and love.

Venture behind the scenes with in-depth bonus features that reveal the innovative filmmaking technology used to create the richly immersive jungle world and characters; Follow the journey of the film’s only on-screen actor, charismatic newcomer Neel Sethi (Mowgli); Delve into a candid and humorous scene-by-scene audio commentary with director Jon Favreau and meet the all-star voice cast who help bring the film’s colorful characters to life, as well as the musicians who accent the adventure with a majestic music score.

The all-star cast includes Bill Murray (“Lost in Translation”) as the voice of Baloo, Sir Ben Kingsley (“Learning to Drive,” “The Walk”) as Bagheera and Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years a Slave,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) as the voice of mother wolf Raksha. Scarlett Johansson (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”) gives life to Kaa, Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”) provides the voice of alpha-male wolf Akela, Idris Elba (“Beast of No Nation”) roars as the voice of Shere Khan, and Christopher Walken (“The Deer Hunter”) lends his iconic voice to King Louie.

August 2016 Book Unhauling

BookUnhauling

Good Monday morning everyone. Its that time of the month where I show what books I am unhauling this month. Can  you believe that we are already at the end of August? Where is the time going?

I had so much success last year unhauling books that I thought I would continue this again for 2016.

I decided way back in January (2015) that I wanted to document how many books I was giving away each month to see if I was making any kind of dent in my book collection.

I know last year I probably brought in more then I was actually giving away so this year I am trying to be cautious with my book buying and I am giving myself a budget each time I go shopping in hopes that it will curb my spending.

So each month I will be posting about what books I am unhauling and then another monthly post will be what books I physically bought in the month.

Are you a constant book buyer? Can you resist buying books on a weekly bases? Please tell me I am not alone in this?

I am gradually going through the bookcases and the many boxes that I have stored in the basement and doing a purge because this summer with fingers crossed we will get the basement finally renovated and I can purchase new bookcases and set up a library down there. So over the next few months I am expecting larger unhaulings.

Take a look at what I unhauled this month:
(Unless otherwise noted these are books I have read and I am passing them along to another book loving home.)

  1. Let’s Play Make-Believe by James Patterson
  2. The Chase by James Patterson
  3. The Littlest Bigfoot by Jennifer Weiner

So for August  I am releasing only 3 books this month. As you can see I haven’t read much this past month with everything that has gone on.

  • Total for 2016 is 80
  • Total for 2015 is 211

Plan With Me Monday August 29th – September 4th

Good Morning, I hope you all had a good weekend. It was a really good weekend here because we got to go to Chazy Lake in upper New York state (about 30 minutes from Plattsburgh). A hockey family that we know invited us along with 5 other families to their cottage by the lake for the weekend. It was so pretty there.

Its time for another Plan With Me post. I hope you are enjoying these.

With much encouragement from my family they suggested that I should share with you my Plan With Me Mondays on my blog instead of just on instagram.

You might recall back in April (you can click here to see that post) I mentioned that I was finally able to get a Erin Condren Life Planner when they had their 50% off sale. Since then I have been decorating my planner, which I found out is a huge thing all over the world and there is a huge planner community as well. Which has been a great source of information.

I tend to do my Plan With Me, Sunday mornings just because I am usually up early and on my own and the house is super quiet. So while I prep the coffee I take my planner and stickers (that will be a upcoming blog post perhaps) and head to the dining room table to pick out what I want to use that particular week. This week I am a little late in doing it because we were away and didn’t get back until last night and by then I knew if I started to plan it would come out all wrong.

I purchase all my planner kits online from various etsy sellers. Mostly Canadian ones just because of shipping and the exchange rate but I do purchase some through USA or international sellers depending on what they are.

This week since since its back to school for Michael and I didn’t really plan for a back to school week kit I decided that I would use The Best is Yet to Come Little weekly planner kit from Little Paper Prints.  It came with 8 pages filled with an assortment of stickers. Sadly this kit is no longer available in her shop. This was one of the first kits I bought back in April.

This is how the finished product before the pen looks. I wish I would have captured a better photo but the battery in my  camera was charging so I used my phone instead. I really like how it came out.

What do you think? Do you do planner decorating? Do you have a favorite etsy seller?

See you next week. Happy Planning.

Check out this fun teaser from The Boyfriend Bet:

Jack shoved his finger in my face. “You can talk to any other guy you want to at this school, but you are not allowed to talk to him.”

Had my brother learned nothing over the last sixteen years? Apparently not, and for that he would pay. I turned back to the source of my brother’s irritation. “Grant, do you have a girlfriend who would mind if you kissed me to piss off my brother?”

In answer, he leaned down and pressed his mouth against mine. Bam. Instant heat.

The Boyfriend Bet

About The Boyfriend Bet:

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains multiple PDAs, after-school detentions, and gambling on the side. Warning: betting on a boyfriend is bad for your health.

Zoe Cain knows that Grant Evertide is way out of her league. So naturally, she kisses him. Out of spite. Not only is Grant her brother’s number-one nemesis, but he has zero interest in being tied down to one girl. She’s shocked-and secretly thrilled-when they start spending more time together.

Zoe’s brother claims Grant is trying to make her his “Ringer,” an oh-so-charming tradition where a popular guy dates a non-popular girl until he hooks up with her, then dumps her.Zoe threatens to neuter Grant with hedge clippers if he’s lying but Grant swears he isn’t trying to trick her. Still, that doesn’t mean Grant is the commitment type-even if winning a bet is on the line.

Release Blitz/ Fish Wielder

Fish Wielder Cover

Title: Fish Wielder
Series: Fish Wielder Series (Book 1)
Author: J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison
Pages: 288
Publisher: Fiery Seas Publishing, LLC
Pub Date: August 23, 2016

Fish Wielder is kind of like *Lord of the Rings*, set in Narnia, if it was written by the guys who made *Monty Python and the Holy Grail* while they were listening to the music of *They Might Be Giants*.

In ancient times, the Dark Lord Mauron cooked the most powerful magic chocolate dessert ever made, the Pudding of Power. One thousand and two years later, the evil leader of the Bad Religion, the Heartless One, is trying to recover the lost pudding in order to enslave the peoples of Grome. Only the depressed barbarian warrior Thoral Might Fist and his best friend, Brad the talking Koi fish, have a chance to save the world of Grome from destruction, but that’s going to take a ridiculous amount of magic and mayhem. Thus begins the epically silly epic fantasy of epic proportions, *Fish Wielder*—book one of the Fish Wielder Trilogy.
