An abandoned Egyptian goddess follows her visions to Ireland, and finds more than she ever bargained for…
Bat Sitru used to be a goddess. Well, technically she still is. But with no followers, no temples, and only the overly mischievous cat-goddess Bastet as a friend, it’s difficult to lay claim to the title.
When her visions—once faded—return to her, they point to a land in the north, one of green slopes, mist, and rainbows. She is shown a hope for comfort and home, something that has long been missing from her existence.
Once there, she begins to wonder if her visions have led her wrong. She’s cold, damp, and her new landlords, the O’Loinsigh brothers, are not particularly welcoming. On top of that, she is confronted by a dead leprechaun on the rear stoop, a dagger that sucks the life of immortals, and territorial gods.
As past secrets collides with the present, will Bat be able to carve a place for herself in this new land? Or will this goddess be forgotten once more?
Please note: A previous, and shorter, version of this story was released in the anthology Shamrocked. This is also a slow-burn RH.

A storm is brewing, and this goddess does not like the damp…
Bat Sitru, an Egyptian goddess, is content in her new life in Sligo, Ireland. She tends the bar, participates in all the sing-songs she cares to, and is making new friends. The only thing she could wish to change is her relationship with the O’Loinsigh brothers—they’ve grown distant, and she’s afraid to upset the careful balance the four of them have found.
Before she can figure out what to do about that distance, an invitation arrives from the head of the O’Loinsigh family, leading to the revelation of long-held secrets and her visions come to life once more. What she will need to face this time is nothing so simple as a mad woman out for revenge—old legends are stirring as an ancient evil seeks to return.
Along with Dub, Mell, Shar, the reluctant Finn, and a host of other outcasts, Bat will confront a growing conspiracy of fae, gods, Fomoiri, and an evil long locked away. All she wants is to enjoy her strawberries and tea, and maybe a kiss or two, but sometimes a goddess has to do…
Well, a goddess has to do what a goddess has to do.

Bat Sitru and her merry band of fae are officially on the run…
Or are they on the hunt? It’s hard to tell. Separated from Dub and Shar, Bat can only concentrate on getting through the next steps of their piece-meal plan to defeat Balor. They have all the tools to defeat the would-be god, now they just have to pull it all together.
With new and unexpected allies, as well as a horde of sluagh on their heels, Bat and her boys race to find Tir Hudi and the cauldron before their enemies know they’re there.
In the end, it will be up to her, that forgotten goddess, to restore the balance and prevent the world from descending into chaos…
Note: Yes, for those who have not read the first two books yet, this is a “why choose” type romance.
About Cecilia:
Cecilia Randell was born in Austin, Texas and grew up in a home with her very own Cheerful Bulldozer. After some brief adventures in various places such as California and Florida, she returned to her hometown and took up a career in drafting. A lifetime lover of words and stories, the transition to writing was two-fold: a comment from a relative and a short line from another author, saying to write what you want to read.
And thus the new adventure was born.
Now she can be found most days curled up in a comfy chair and creating new tales to share with others.

I quickly have to thank Rockstar Book Tours for allowing me to be a part of this tour and graciously providing me with copies to read and review for my tour stop today.
For some reason, I was in the mood for something completely different from what I normally read and this was the perfect thing as it seemed to get me out of the little reading slump I have been in this past month since getting sick.
One of the things I love when starting a new book or series especially when I have never read any of the author’s previous works is starting with a bang and that you need to continue reading it and this did it for me. I think I read this over a two-day span. Which is pretty quick for me considering the reading slump I have been in.
The main character is Bat and she is a forgotten Egyptian goddess. Bat has started to see visions and decides to go on vacation to Ireland. But what Bat doesn’t realize is that she is in for quite a few surprises along the way. This is what I really enjoyed because you had no idea what was going to happen next.
She manages to find a place to say but her landlords the O’Loinsigh brothers aren’t very welcoming to her and they can’t decide if they should allow her to stay or not. Then something happens and of course, Bat has to stay to figure out what is going on. This is where I was happy I had the next book to read so I could continue on with it.
Since this is a series that is currently available to read now I won’t get to much into the other books but I will say that it basically picks up from where the previous ones left off.
In the second book, Bat is adjusting to her new home working in a bar, meeting new people and making friends and having fun. There is only one thing that she wishes would happen and that’s to have a better relationship with the O’Loinsigh brothers. They are very distant from her and she has no idea why she doesn’t have long to think about it because enter a mad woman who is out for revenge.
This was also another one that had me sitting on the edge of my seat because you never knew what would come up next and thankful I had the next and final book in the series to continue.
The final book in the series can I just say WOW? What an ending but I could totally see another book to continue it. Everything comes together to wrap it up. This was another one that had me on the edge of my seat reading to find out what would happen next.
This series is definitely like riding a roller coaster and I am so happy that I got to try something new that didn’t disappoint. I need more books like this.
To Be Read In July
Seeing as I couldn’t get into these books in June, I decided that I am going to try and read them this month, I really wanted to focus on the books I have recently got from publishers to review as you can see its not a huge pile of books so I knew I could get through this challenge. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I tackled this month.
- The Death House by Sarah Pinborough
- The Beast’s Heart by Leife Shallcross
- Rule by Ellen Goodlett (1st book in the series)
- Rise by Ellen Goodlett (2nd book in the series)
- Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
- How She Died, How I lived by Mary Crockett
- The Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner
- The Fall of Crazy House by James Patterson by James Patterson & Gabrielle Charbonnet
- Screen Queens by Lori Goldstein
- Her Royal Highness by Rachel Hawkins
- Swipe Right for Murder by Derek Milman
- A Match Made in Mehendi by Nandini Bajpai
- Queen of Ruin by Tracy Banghart
What does your TBR look like this month?
Sunday’s In Bed With….
This is being hosted by two of the sweetest people I have the privilege of knowing in real life, Kate and Kim. Sadly we don’t talk like we use to because you know real life happens but there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of them both.
What a week it has been for me this week. If you read my previous Sunday’s In Bed you will know about the issues I have been having well I had my emergency MS appointment and thankfully its not MS related. This was a huge relief to hear. He said its a pinched nerve. I had an x-ray done on my hip to see what is going on and then later tonight I have a MRI on my spine to make sure that’s all good. I am on a new batch of medication and I am to rest.
Anyways on to the books which sadly isn’t much since I can’t get comfortable enough to read. I am currently making my way through this:
What are you reading today?

Georgia plantation owner, Diantha Ames was raised and educated to be a lady.
Surviving the Civil War as a child, her family, in a desperate, but ultimately
unsuccessful bid to save the property of both her father and her uncle,
arranges a marriage between her and her first cousin. Although not a love match,
she and Eugene were amiable. As information about her husband comes to light
after his death in the Gold King Mine disaster that took so many lives in
Wildcat Ridge, she is left with her husband’s hotel and postmaster position to
fill—and a lot of questions.

former laundress gone, she hires Hilaina Dowd, whose family hails from the
mountains of Appalachia. Hilaina loyally stays with her mother who wishes to
live out her life in Wildcat Ridge and be buried next to her husband who died
in the mine disaster.
Cauley is branded a failure after refusing to be part of his father’s Salt Lake
City brick-making business and then losing his stationary and book store
business. To bury him far away, his brother and conniving sister-on-law use
their political influence with the territorial Congressional representative to
award him the postmaster position in Wildcat Ridge. He arrives in town to take
over the position starting the first of September only to discover the
postmistress, Diantha, knows nothing about the change, and is not relieved she
no longer is obligated to fill this position originally awarded to her deceased
husband. Finding himself surrounded by those loyal to the soft-spoken, Southern
lady, is he destined to also be a failure in Wildcat Ridge?
Kramer, wrangler on the Grassy Fork Ranch in Colorado, has not been totally
satisfied with his lot ever since the trip he took to Wildcat Ridge earlier in
the summer with his boss and best friend now he sees the happiness of family
life the two men enjoy after they brought back wives. When two trail-worn young
brothers stumble onto the ranch looking for a meal and permanent jobs, but are
told with winter coming on there is only room for one, Buck insists on leaving
in order to keep the brothers together. Is Buck really dissatisfied with his
job on the ranch, or is this an excuse to return to Wildcat Ridge and the woman
he has not been able to get out of his mind?
is a stand-alone novel. However, you might enjoy it best by reading all the
books in the series, The Widows of Wildcat Ridge. Also, my other book in the
series, Nissa, Book 3, was written to
be a duet with Diantha—a series
within a series. You might also enjoy reading Nissa if you have not already done so.
postmaster. He wasn’t a miner, but he took part in the rescue attempt that
ended up claiming the lives of a lot of merchants and businessmen in town. With
enough people still there to justify a post office, and the position now open,
the government is looking for someone who is willing to move to such a remote
location to fill it. Since it is a small office without mail delivery every day
with only a minimal monthly salary, it means you would need to live frugally on
the income provided. I…” Louis glanced across the table at his wife. “We
thought it would be a good opportunity for you, since you do not seem to wish a
future in the brick business.”
fought down the surge of excitement welling up within him. This position held
great possibilities. It would bring in a steady source of income—money over
which he had complete control—for a job that would leave him enough freedom to
pursue his own desired career. He could find a small retail space and once
again open his shop. He could use the leftover inventory he had crated up and
stacked in both his room and a back wall of a storeroom at the brickyard. If
the post office building was big enough, he could sell his inventory there.
Most importantly, he would have time to finish his novel he had almost
completed before he had been forced out of his shop and into a job working for
his brother. No, he would do that before he left.
quick glance at the smirk of satisfaction on Della’s face told him she was the
mastermind behind him being offered a position far away from Salt Lake
City—completely disassociated from the business she wanted to eventually go to
her son, Louis Junior, rather than to Hank. For once, he felt grateful he had
not indulged in his usual hair-trigger tendency to act—often over-react—to a
situation. It would never do to let Della know he welcomed the prospect.

she spent hours hidden behind her mother’s couch writing pages and pages about
knights and castles. Now she writes about romance. Go figure. When she’s not mothering her 4 small children, writing or reading, she’s

series. The way to her heart is through homemade chocolate chip cookies and

Hailey Montgomery threw herself into real estate soon after breaking up with
her boyfriend nearly five years ago. She’s been working to build a name for
herself and when the chance to make partner at her firm becomes available, she
jumps at the chance. But the only way to achieve that distinction is to find a
commercial property for the guy she’s nicknamed ‘Golden Boy’ from all the
stories her father told about him.
As spending time together brings them closer, the trust between them is called into
question. Can they work through what’s happened in their individual pasts to
create a relationship that will last?
