Christmas isn’t fashion editor Roxanne Hudson’s style, but when she finds herself snowed in with a handsome stranger, she might just discover the magic of the season after all.
Roxanne Hudson does not like the holidays. They come with too many family obligations that take her away from work as a rising fashion editor in New York City. But this Christmas might be Grandma Myrtle’s last, and Roxanne’s parents want her to spend the holiday at the family cabin in the Green Mountains. With her boyfriend out of the country for a photo shoot, Roxanne decides to brave the long commute—and the wilderness—to spend Christmas in Vermont.
After an uncomfortable call from her boyfriend starts the trip off badly, Roxanne is blindsided by a blizzard on the snowy mountain road, where the last thing she hears before losing consciousness is sleigh bells. When she’s rescued by Mark Foster, a handsome park ranger who’s the exact opposite of everything she always thought she wanted, Roxanne seeks her grandmother’s wisdom and discovers an uncanny connection that could be a sign of what her life is really meant to be.

Before I begin my review I quickly want to thank Xpresso Book Tours for allowing me to be a part of this book blitz and for graciously providing a eGalley of the book so that I could read it for my review today.
Firstly, happy book release day Lindy. This is Lindy’s latest book.
Lindy is a new to me author and after reading this I definitely want to check out her other books such as Aloha With Love and The Magic Ingredient (I believe this could be a series). Both sound really good. I should add that she has two upcoming books called Mistletoe Magic (this is the second book in the series) and Regifting Christmas.
Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain takes place in New York and Vermont, which just happens to be two of my favorite places to visit. Our main character is Roxanne who is on the way to making a name for herself at Divine, a fashion magazine. She has an off-and-on relationship with Hunter her model boyfriend. Her friend Spencer tells her that she can do better and to dump him. Will she come to realize that he is right?
For the first time since college Roxanne is going home to Vermont for Christmas. If she had her way she would avoid going but hearing the news that this could be her grandmother’s last Christmas she decides to make the trip back. It was her grandmother that believed and encouraged her to pursue her dream in fashion. So she feels like she owes her grandmother this visit.
Having left NYC later than expected Roxanne thinks her drive to Vermont will be uneventful and it starts out that way but in a blink of an eye, she hits a blizzard. Then the next thing she loses control of her car and wakes up to a bright light shining in her eyes. The person behind the light is park ranger Mark.
I have to say that I instantly loved Mark because of his love of books and reading. He had piles of books all over his room. How can you not love that? If him being good-looking was not enough, how about a guy who lays out for you a change of clothing, a spare toothbrush, and a pair of wool socks with a candy cane stuck in them? Mark is definitely a better choice for Roxanne than Hunter but will she realize that?
This definitely played out like a Hallmark movie and I was down for that. This was definitely an opposite attracts slow burn romance. Which was another thing I was down for. It’s been a long time since I read romance or even holiday romance that I never realized how much I missed them until the past few months. DEfinitely need to keep this up moving forward.
I really enjoyed reading this. It was a super quick and heartwarming read that I read in one sitting. I should also add that in the back of the book was two recipes one for a pie and one for a cookie that I definitely want to try and make this week once I get the items I need.
