Hi my blogger friends. I have a huge request please, I have been nonimated for two awards for my blog and I would really appreciate it if you could click on both banners and vote for my blog.
It would mean the world to me. Thanks in advance.
You might recall in September I had posted that I was going to be taking part in the Swapoween that is hosted by the ladies over at Chaotic Goddess Swaps.
This is my first time taking part in one of their swaps and I have to say I think I am looking forward to taking part in more.
In all the chaos of the past month I never got to reveal what I got in my Swapoween. My part was Amanda from Funky Frugal Mommy and she is a Canadian blogger. If you click on her blog name it will take you to the post that will show you what I got her.
Here is what I got from Amanda:
Yummies that went rather quickly:
I got a nice coral top and Michael got a tshirt with a skull on it saying Attention Je Rock!
The Halloween theme was various door covers, ice cube tray that has skull and bones, cookie cutters, a ghost candle, skull rings (that Michael quickly took for himself), a cute halloween mask that is in my favorite color purple, glow in the dark earrings, a package of StacheTATS (which is another thing Michael quickly claimed) and a temporary Tattoo Wound Kit.
Some other goodies included a slim pack kleenex (which always come in handy this time of the year) , a cute pair of earrings, a cute bracelet and a ring watch.
I had alot of fun shopping for my partner and I had alot of fun waiting for my package to arrive. It was hard when it did arrive to let it sit and wait until my son came home from school. He had a blast opening up the box and I wish I would have thought to take some pictures of him opening it up. Next time 🙂
Thanks Amanda for being my swap partner.
This week has been really rough for me and my family. As you can probably see from the blog I haven’t posted much this week and I am behind in two reviews I was suppose to have up for a blog tour. I will hopefully have those up very soon.
Sunday night my mother was rushed to the hospital by ambulance because she had fallen again. We are always at a lost for words when she falls because she says she blacks out and doesn’t remember what happened before that. Thankfully nothing was broken just a bad bump on her head.
The dr decided to admit her so that he could run a whole series of test on her because over the past few months she has started to rock back and forth and it has gotten worse. I have been up to see her and it was really heart breaking because the whole time I was there she cried. She had no idea where she was and why she was there and wanted to go home. We as a family told her that she would remain there until the drs found out what was going on.

I quickly want to thank Xpresso Book Tours for allowing me to be a part of this book tour. I really enjoyed reading this and it was so much fun to dip into something different. I have to admit at first I thought that I might have bitten off more then I could chew just because this genre scares the bejeezes out of me. I am a big wimp with an over active imagination but I have to say that this book sucked in my right from the beginning and trust me that is a good thing.
This is a Cinderella retelling and I have to say I haven’t read alot of these retelling stories but I think I might have to check some more out after this.
I am a firm believer of what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger and I really think this motto suits Haley. Haley has a terrible life and my heart breaks for any child or young adult that goes through this. Her father is an alcoholic who abuses his daughters and I have to say that this always turns my stomach. I really wanted to reach into the book and kill the father. How can a parent do that to his own child?
Haley is alone in this world even though she has a few friends. Her sister hates her (and she makes it now to Haley) and her mother is dead. You could almost see that she thought that was her life and that she had no chance in hell to got out of this situation. This is where I wanted to tell Haley that it will only get better.
Enter Chris who is sort of like Haley. He is your typical guy who has it all but when a bad rumor begins to circulate about him that isn’t true he begins to rethink everything he has ever known. I loved how it wasn’t thrown at you all at once but that it built. It was a nice pace like a roller coaster going up the hill and then bam everything happened at once and it was really good. It gave you time to get to know Haley.
I was hooked from the very beginning and literally had a hard time putting it down. There is so much I can say about this book but I won’t just that you need to get this book to read and then you will see what I am talking about.

Krystal Wade is happily married to the love of her life (don’t gag) and raising three beautiful children in the gorgeous state of Virginia. They live just outside Washington, D.C., and every day she wakes up to find herself stuck in traffic trying to get there. The horrid commute gives Krystal plenty of time to zone out and think about her characters in full, brilliant details (she’s a safe driver; don’t worry). Stories give her a way to forget about the sometimes smelly strangers sitting next to her on the fifty mile trek into town (she picks up hitchhikers every day. True story. Check out www.slug-lines.com if you don’t believe us). Krystal has been a part of organized hitchhiking for nearly fifteen years, but that’s just one small aspect of her oh-so-large life. When she’s not working, commuting, or chasing after her three children (four if you count the man), you can usually find Krystal outside talking to her chickens like they’re the cutest things in the world (they are), or training her amazing dogs how to herd said chickens (which they love), or curled up on the sofa with a good book (why can’t that be 100% of the time?). Scratch by Rhonda Helms Published by: Kensington Publication date: September 30th 2014 Genres: New Adult, Romance Synopsis: The most painful scars are the ones you never see. In her DJ booth at a Cleveland dance club, Casey feels a sense of connection that’s the closest she ever gets to normal. But inexplicably, Daniel refuses to pay attention to the walls she’s put up. Like Casey, he’s a senior. In every other way, he’s her opposite. Sexy, open, effortlessly charming, Daniel is willing to take chances and show his feelings. For some reason Casey can’t fathom, he’s intent on drawing her out of her bubble and back into a world that’s messy and unpredictable. He doesn’t know about the deep scars that pucker her stomach–or the deeper secret behind them. Since the violent night when everything changed, Casey has never let anyone get close enough to hurt her again. Now, she might be tempted to try.
