IMG_0001I probably begin each and every Fortune Cookie Soap unboxing post by saying that this is my favorite quarterly subscription box and honestly it is my absolute favorite subscription box out there. Please note that I am not sponsored by them and these boxes are purchased by me so this is my honest and sincere opinion.

The theme this month is Wonderland. This box smelled so good when I opened it. If this is what Spring is suppose to smell like then bring it on.

springfortunecookiesoap

“Almost Alice” Fortune Cookie Soap. The soap is a baby blue colored soap and it smells heavenly. Smelling this makes me think of spring and what spring should smell like.  Its a fresh green snap peas and juicy pears brighten this bouquest of sweet pea flowers and freesia, sprinkled with ripe berries. Each fortune cookie soap comes with a fortune and mine said “Which luckily I am.”

IMG_0009

“Twisted Tea Party” bath tea is a whole new concept to me. I never knew what they were until I started to get beauty box subscriptions. All you have to do is get a bath running and drop it in. This is another scent that when I smell I instantly think of spring. This is a light refreshing green tea with notes of sweet herbs, vanilla bean, cucumber, golden amber and hits of neroli and geranium stirred with a bright sprig of spearmint.

IMG_0011

“Who Are You?” Incense Cones. I was curious when I saw the little bag in the box because I had no idea what it was. I instantly thought of my aunt because she use to always burn incense cones. This is a mysterious mixture of crisp, ripe, pear twisted with tart limes, vanilla orchid, and a dash of raw can sugar. I got seven in the bag.

IMG_0007

“It’s Only a Dream” Whipped Cream. I love that they give you a generous sample size of their items espeically there whipped creams because you get alot of uses out of them. This is a calming verbena. lemongrass, calla lily and citrus blended with leafy greens, ylang-ylang, rosewood and ozone with hints of soft musk and roses.

It smells spring like and the whipped cream isn’t greasy and it absorbs into the skin quickly leaving a fresh spring like smell on your hands.

IMG_0010“Off With Their Heads” bath bomb. I love bath bombs so I am excited to use this up. Its lemon and orange scented mixed with wild roses, violets and star jasmine perfumed with tones of bergamont and Egyptian musk. I was expecting something else when I smelled this such as a spring scent and its not really that but still smells really nice.

IMG_0005

“Futterwacken” body wash. When I saw this I instantly thought I was getting alcohol because its in that kind of packaging but then I realize that hey FCS wouldn’t do that or would they? Its bright orange and I when I smelled it I instantly thought of the orange crush pop (soda). This is a sun warmed lilies brightened with a splash of grapefruit and a breath of fresh air. I have a feeling that this will be used up in one shower oh no!

IMG_0008

“Eat Me” Perfume Oil. This is another item that I am getting use to using. A little goes a long way when you wear it. I think this was one that I took forever to try and figure out that scents and I was wrong. Its yellow cake with fresh slathering of rich creamy vanilla frosting topped with fresh white pineapple slices with sprigs of cilantro. Even after I read the card I was still trying to figure it out.

IMG_0006

Finally the last item in the box is the “We’re All Mad Here” OCD Hand Sanitizer. Just an FYI don’t use if you have a cut on your hand because it will hurt like he**.  I love that we always get these because I love throwing them in a purse to have on hand when we are out and in a pinch. The scent was really nice and not strong. The scent is playful mint waters and natural leafy green notes along with a musky rich cedarwood.

This was another amazing box and I have to say it came at the perfect time. I am in dire need of some spring because I am getting tired of the bitter cold winter we are having. Getting this box makes it feel like spring is just around the corner and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I will always say that this subscription is worth it. This will always be a box that I will keep subscribed to.

The spring box will be launching later this week (February 27th at 6:30pm CST) and you will be able to purchase the above products then.

They have also opened up the signups for the Summer box. I have include the link above.

Fortune Cookie Soap Box Christmas Unboxing

This is one of my all time favorite quarterly subscription boxes that I am currently subscribed to. I have been subscribed now to this for a year and I love it. I use everything I get from the box.

I am never disappointed in the box and you get what you subscribe to.
  • This comes out four times a year.
  • They ship international.
  • You will receive 8 exclusive FCS items in mini sizes (all new scents and new products)
  • a $10 gift code that you can use toward future purchases (does not apply to purchasing a soap box/ gift cards or shipping)
  • You can cancel at anytime

The theme for this box is The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have yet to see this movie and I think I really need to see it very soon. Has anyone seen the movie?

This box smelled so good when I got it and I couldn’t wait to open it up. I did see a sneak peak vlog about it (Rachel is one of my favorite youtubers to do FCS unboxings click here to see her vlog ) so I knew what was in the box but I was still excited to open it and smell all the goodies.

Here is what I got in my box:

The first item is “Jack” Bath Fizzy. The full size sells for $5.99. This is sold out. This smells so good. I got the smell of the woodland moss more then anything. Its a nice smell and I am sure once I put this in the bath it will smell even nicer.

If we had a nickel for every time we called each other a “Jack Head” while we were making this fizzy, we’d be rich! Ha! With notes of iced lemon and airy menthol, warmed by woodland moss and smashed cranberries.

Next up is the “Sally” Fortune Cookie Soap. The full size retails for $3.49. This is sold out. When I opened this up I instantly feel in love with the scent and new right away it was the smell of fresh clean cotton. It looks to cute to use. I love that these items are hand made. Alot of work goes into these.

For our favorite rag doll, we wanted to create a fragrance that just screamed Sally!
Fresh breezes fluttering white cotton, dry cracking leaves, held together by twine.

“Oogie Boogie: OCD Hand Sanitizer. The full size retails for $2.89. There is actually a plastic bug in this. I love their hand sanitizers. They always have the best selection in scents. The only thing I don’t like is the bottles. You can’t really squeeze the product out. I have noticed that the only hand sanitizers I can use without getting a head ache is the FCS ones.

My bugs! MY BUUUUUUGGS!! COME BAAAAAAACK!! A mix of smushed winter berries against a backdrop of sweet muted cinnamon

“Lock, Shock and Barrel” Bath Melt. It come in a package of three and it retails for $10.99. I got the middle one. This is the perfect winter scent in my opinion. You can really smell the trees in this one.

Everyone’s favorite trick-or-treaters! One of each adorable boy in every order. Frosted woods of pine and spruce, warmed with hints of spice.

“Sandy Claws” Exfoliating Body Butter. This is called the Sandy Claws Body Butter on the site and it retails for $10.79. As soon as I opened it I got the hint of chocolate and it smells so good you could almost eat it but don’t. I am excited to try this out.

‘Dis beech will rough you up! They call him Sandy CLAWS for a reason! So anyway, it smells like chocolate and chai and yummyness. Mhm.

“Zero” Dry Shampoo. The full size retails for $9.99. I am excited to try this out. When I smelled it I got more of a pumpkin scent which is really nice. This is available

Not to play favorites, but .. um.. kind of maybe the best fragrance of the entire winter line. Yeah. Ghostly billows of sweet peppermint, with just the faintest whisper of pumpkin.

“Holiday Worlds” Whipped Cream body Butter. This is available in four different body butters such as Easter (the one I have), Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas. They sale for $10.99 and as of now they are sold out and Easter is the only one left. I actually got more of the black licorice scent then anything else.

An ooey gooey treat of pink sugar with a smear of black licorice.

Finally the last item is “What’s This?” Roll on Perfume. The full size retails for $7.99.

This is a mystery frangrance. I have smelled this before but just can’t place it but the scent is really nice. This might be my favorite winter scent right now.

Fortune Cookie Soap Win

If you remember in September I heard about The Soap Box and got in on the fall box and shared what was in that box with you ( CLICK THIS TO SEE WHAT I GOT ) and started following them on facebook.

Well recently they ran a facebook contest where you had to log onto the site, Fortune Cookie Soap and create a wishlist with a value of $50 and you had to send in that link for a chance to win your wishlist.

Well guess what? I was the lucky winner and was sent all my wishlist items.

Here is what I won. I actually grouped in to make it easier in writing this post.

First up is the soaps:

Top row: Clementine Ginger, sample of Cram Your Face in my Sweet Pumpkin Pie bath bomb, Apple Cider and Cram Your Face in my Sweet Pumpkin Pie.

Bottom row: Hot Apple Cider, Lilac and Caramel Apple.

Next up is the bath items:
Bath Melts in Hot Chocolate, Bath Fizzy in Strawberry Fields and a Bath Fizzy in Cram Your Face in my Sweet Pumpkin Pie.

Then finally I have been hearing alot about these so I wanted to give them a try:
Shampoo bar and Conditioner bar in Pumpkin Coconut Crunch. I have never used bars like this for my hair but I am excited to try them out and hopefully if I like them I will repurchase. They would be perfect for traveling I think.
So this is what I got for my prize win and I really love the soaps they make and send. I have actually used up one of the soaps I got in the fall box and loved it. I will be doing a post at the end of the month when I talk about the products I have used this month.

Do any of these soaps interest you? What do you love about your soaps?

The Soap Box Fall Edition

I recently heard about the company Fortune Cookie Soap and I was curious so I checked them out. I liked what I saw so I went ahead and ordered a box.

This is another beauty box subscription that is shipped out quarterly (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer). You can expect to receive 8 to 10 exclusive Fortune Cookie Soap products. Plus you also get a $10 off coupon to use online or in their store. The price for the box is $20 (USA) and here in Canada I paid $28 (actually $28.41 with the exchange rate). So this is probably the highest priced box but knowing that the products are all natural and hand made is worth it it my opinion.

This is based out of the US but they do ship to Canada.

Also something that might be interesting is that you the subscriber get to try all the great seasonal products before it hits the market. How awesome is that? I love knowing that a selected few get to try this before everyone else does.

I was lucky enough to get in for the fall box and that is what I am talking about today. Please note that I was in no way compensated for this post. The Soap Box was purchased with my own money.

I received The Soap Box in a plain brown box. Which doesn’t bother me because its whats inside that counts. I had no idea what I was getting this time and there wasn’t much revealed on the site which I loved and I don’t think I encountered any blog posts or vlogs on the box.
For some reason when I go to post the following pics they are all sideways sorry about that. When I opened the box this is what I saw at first. This is the fall product card. Very nice and fall like.
This is the list of the products I got in this box. A total of 8 products so we are off to a good start.

This is the $10 off coupon and I will more then likely be using it very soon because there was a few things I loved in this box.

The box was wrapped much nicer then this but I was making a vlog so I had already opened it and was taking pictures for the blog post.

Here is all the goodies I got sent. I just have to tell you that it all smelled delicious and just like summer. I was dying to see what they sent and to discover what those amazing smells were.

This is the Pumpkin Coconut Crunch Itty Bitty Gritty lip scrub. It sells for $8.99. Its got a mixutre of pumpkin pie and coconut. I have to say at first it felt stiff but after a few times I like the scent and how it made my lips feel. It was like they were being scrubbed clean and it left my lips soft. I think this is a full size product because I compared it to my other lipbalms.
This is the Snickerdoodle Whipped Cream. I loved this and the smell was delicious. Its Allspice, sugar cookie, butter and cinnamon. I have been limiting the number of times I have been using this because I am trying to savour it before being able to buy it online.
Next up is Ripe For The Picking OCD Hand Sanitzer. Loved the smell and the only thing that I didn’t really like was the container it was in. Its suppose to be a hand santizer but its hard to get out of the bottle because its not a squeezable bottle. It sells for $2.89. I am thinking they sent a full size product of this although I’m not sure.
This soap was delicious and a perfect way to wrap up summer memories. Its the Roast My Marshmallow Fortune Cookie Soap. It sells for $3.29. As soon as I smelled this it brought back memories from my high school days. I think this will be something I will be buying as well as the other soaps they carry which is quite a few.
I wasn’t sure what this was at first but when I realized it was A Roll In The Leaves Bath Fizzy. When I smelled it I automatically thought of fall.  I am excited to try this out. I’m not sure if this is a full size sample. The full size is 4oz for $4.50
I love baths and having new soaps and bubbles to try is always fun and this one is going to be used soon. Its Something Nutty milk bath. The full size is 12.5oz for $12.99.
Something that I have never heard of or tried is Cram Your Face in My Sweet pumpkin Pie Mask. I wasn’t sure how I would use this but once I found it on the site I quickly realized I couldn’t wait to try it. I love the smell of pumpkin but the only thing was it left me craving a Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks. 🙂 The full size is a set of these pouches (4) for $6.99.
Another item I am super excited to try is this Eco Suns in Fig & Berries. Its full size is 4 oz for $6.99 and it will do 10 loads of laundry in a conventional washer or 20 loads in an HE front loading washer. The 16 oz. bag will do 32 loads of laundry in a conventional washer or 64 loads in a HE front loading washer. That one is $13.99 + $7. I am also looking for an alternative in laudry soap so this one will be used very soon.

So that is my Fall Soap box, what did you think? Did you see any products that caught your eye that you are dying to try out?

Have you gotten this box?

I am excited to get the winter box and see what kinds of smells and scents they will include. I think the above scents are all the new fall ones being introduced in the line. The scents are in the various products they have.

I have looked around and I will probably place a small little order in the next few weeks. I spotted some thing that would make great holiday gifts.
