I am so happy to be able to take part once again in the Virtual Advent Tour. Be sure to check out the Virtual Advent Tour Blog to see daily posts and the stops on the tour.
(I have to apologize for this going up late but for some reason this didn’t post on the original date the 4th and I have been busy)
I was trying to figure out what I could share with you guys and I thought I would talk about one of our favorite traditions to do each and every year and that is opening Advent calendars. What better way to countdown till Christmas. Plus its nice to get a little goodies each day.
This year we have added to our Advent calendar pile. Every year Michael gets
He has been doing this advent calendar for a few years now and he loves this. What kid wouldn’t love being able to open this and have a new Lego piece every day? Granted the cover leaves nothing to the imagination once you get older because you realize everything they are showing on the picture is something you will get to open throughout the month.
This year this is new to me and I only heard about it last year and missed out on it completely. So this year my plan was to stalk David’s Tea on facebook and as soon as they announced this I was going to run and buy it and that is exactly what I did. Its David’s Tea 24 Days of Tea. How neat is this idea? Every day you get to sample a new kind of tea. I love this idea and its a great way to sample a tea you might not normally try.
This is definitely something I would make sure to have again next year. I am enjoying the selection so far.
Do you count down with Christmas with something special?
I want to thank both Kailana and Marg for doing this once again and for allowing me to take part once again. Be sure to check out their blogs and the Advent Tour to see where the next stop is.

I have to admit that I want the Lego Advent Calendar and I am not even a kid… 🙂
So many advent calendar choices out there! Thank you for your continued participation on the tour. We really appreciate it!
I always have an Advent calender in school. This year it’s a new one, revealing a different picture each day. I’ve also had the ones with candy and the children all had a turn opening the door and taking the candy. It’s always exciting for them to see what is hidden behind the door.
Oooh… 24 Days of Tea, sounds like a fantastic way to count down to Chirstmas. 🙂
My kids start begging for advent calenders as soon as the appear in the stores (about October LOL) I always make them wait though. This year the boys have Skylander and the girls have Hello Kitty

Oh we have David’s tea here too in Ottawa, and I have to go check it out now!
Thanks so much for your post, I enjoyed reading about your different advent calendars. I do them too for our kids, we have at least two we do each year 🙂 I think of it as part of the countdown to Christmas. I wish I could get the Lego calendar for myself too!
Merry Christmas to your family, and I’ll be coming to your blog – what a great way to find new bloggers!
We usually do an advent calendar counting down the days, but not one with treats. This year, I’m making a treasure hunt advent calendar – with clues to go look for candy/ cookie/ whatever, each day.
