Sundays In Bed With….is a meme I’ve started to share the book we’re spending the morning in bed with, or the one we’d like to stay curled up in bed with all Sunday if only our busy lives would allow! For fun, take a picture of the book in your bed, or simply write up a post or comment below sharing your Sundays in Bed With book. Quoted from Kate’s blog.

Good Morning everyone. Its hard to believe its that time of the week again for another Sunday’s In Bed With…. It just feels as though the weeks are going faster and faster.

This is another week I am not curled up in bed reading because we have a hockey game this morning and then a curling practice in the afternoon.

Although if I was able to, I would be curled up in bed reading this:

I received this book last year at BEA from Scholastic and I am determined to try and read the 50+ books I got from BEA before going to BEA again this year. I know I probably won’t get to read them all but hopefully I can get through a good chunk of them.

What are you reading today?

Good Morning everyone. Oh how I wish I could be in bed reading this morning but I had to get up early because Michael has a 7am practice. Although I am sure I will be curling up on the couch reading this will he is gone.

Well the holiday is wrapping up and its been busy here. During Christmas Michael took part in a hockey tournament and they lost all their games but on the upside he took part in a curling tournament and his team took the bronze medal. So he was so happy for that. We will hopefully get that medal soon (there was a huge snow storm that do so no medals were handed out) and when we do I will post the pic of it.

On another good note its only the 6th of January and I am already beginning my third book. YAY for me. The first book was really good but the second not so good so I was really looking over my books to find something good to read and if your book cases are like mine you know what a challenge that can be.

When I was getting Michael’s back pack ready for school for Monday I saw this in the bin and noticed I have to return this to the library on Wednesday so this is my next book I will be reading.

I missed out on getting this book at BEA and its sounds really good so I am excited to read this.

What are you reading this week?

Sadly my lovely blog readers I am not in bed with a book this morning. I am in a cold arena watching Michael play hockey this morning (the team is in a tournament). I am hoping that the team can pull together and get a win.

Last weekend Michael was forward and he almost got two goals. I love watching him skate.

Now that we are on Christmas break I am hoping to get some mornings of sleeping in and perhaps getting back on track on my reading. What would you say is the number one book I should read this holiday that will make me want to stay up all need and read?

Hope you are in bed reading this morning. Merry Christmas.

Sadly my lovely blog readers I am not in bed with a book this morning. I am in a cold arena watching Michael play hockey this morning (we have a 9am game). I am hoping that the team can pull together and get a win. Not sure what position he will be playing but he was promised that he would be forward although I’m not sure since we have a call up and it just happens to be a kid from Michael’s team last year. So wish me luck. Hope you are in bed reading this morning.

I am so frustrated with myself for being so far behind with posting on my blog. I really don’t have a reason to be because I have the whole month planned out but honestly I am in a blogging funk. I just don’t have the drive to sit here and blog. I do come online and say okay lets get a post up but when I am done checking emails, facebook, youtube etc I just log off.

Another reason is because I haven’t been feeling all that great either. I am extremely tired, got a sore throat and a sinus headache. So something is going on that hasn’t surfaced yet. But more then likely I will probably be sick for Christmas.

I am not in bed reading this morning because Michael has hockey practice and then Faith First. So while he is doing that I will be quickly grocery shopping since we are expecting a snow storm tomorrow.

I am slowly getting back into some serious reading again which is a good thing and this week I decided to dip into my birthday pile and read a book that I really want to read.

What are you reading today?

I am seriously behind in my posts and like I mentioned in my post from yesterday, I am out of my groove and I think thats due to the holiday season coming up and hockey. (Sorry for the upcoming rant)

Not sure if I ever talked about this season in hockey or not but this year its a new team (thankfully he has three kids from his team last year) and its all new coaches (ones who have never coached before) and a manager (first time as well).

I realize that it can’t be all honky doorie but its getting so frustrating. I think last year we got spoiled with fantastic coaches (they have coached before) and a manager (it was her first year but she is was also a teacher and manager of a local pool- so you know she knows what she’s doing).

We have played six games already. We lost 4 of them, tied one and won on (they had to beat a team of girls to win). As a parent in the stand you see them not meshing as a team. Too many I’s are in the team and not enough we’s.

Michael is in defence (and he is good) but I think he would like to be a forward like he was last year. He is a fast skater. But it seems like he is being kept in that position because he is good and fast leaving the slower kids and not such good skaters in forward positions. This is only my thoughts and opinions.

I have noticed that kids on the team will just quit after the other team gets their first goal. They don’t want to fight to get the puck after that. They just throw in the towel. I think this is where someone needs to say we are still in the game but no one is. Michael knows it but finds it hard.

On some level I don’t think he is having as much fun as he did last year. He has commented to me that this time last year he already had his first goal and that we are now the team everyone can beat and that is going from a team no one could beat last year. Its hard when you see a kid being down and I have tried to cheer him up and he knows his team just doesn’t get it and hopes they will soon.

I told him he needs to speak with his coach (because he would like to play forward) but he is afraid to upset the coach and the other kids so he would rather stay in that position and I think this is why I loved our team last year because everyone got a turn at the different positions and the coaches knew what you were stronger at and left you there.

When I have been asked about hockey from different people (friends and past team mates) about the position Michael is playing and they are all suprised that he is defence because he is that small fast kid.

Perhaps I am just that parent who has those blinders on thinking that my kid is the best and better then other kids on the team…..not!!! We have a few parents who seem to think that their kid is the best player on the team and I wonder if we are at the same game or not.

Anyways enough of my rant on to the book I will be reading this week since I won’t be able to stay in bed to read since Sunday seems to be hockey game here lately. If I was still able to be in bed I would be reading this.

I am currently writing this post at 6:30 AM Saturday morning along with a few other posts while Michael is at his hockey practice. He had to be at the arena (which is about 10 minutes away from my house) at 7am and then once the boys get back we will be heading to Plattsburgh (New York) for a day of shopping. I have my list of things I need to get and places to go.

Sadly I won’t be in bed reading this morning (Sunday) because guess why? If you guessed hockey you would be right. We have a hockey game this morning and we are at our arena.

But if I was lucky enough to be in bed I would be curled up reading this:

I am part of the Sourcebooks tour for this (and my review will be up tomorrow morning) and really excited because this was one of the books I picked up at BEA this year.

What are you curled up and reading this morning/today?
