Meet up with local Book Bloggers

Today was sort of a monthly meet up minus Avis. Avis is away on vacation and due to come back this weekend. Hope you had fun Avis. We missed you.

Tina came all the way by bus to meet up with Donna and myself for the annual Friends of the Library sale today. When we got to the sale we went our own ways looking at books. As you will see in my previous books all the goodies I managed to get at the sale.

After the sale we decided to go for brunch. We took Tina to our little spot that we do our weekly lunches at called The Den.

Before we went in for brunch we spotted a garage sale next door to the restaurant. All the proceeds were going to http://www.rosieanimaladoption.org/aboutus.htm . This is a great and worthy cause. I think the lucky one was Tina, she got a box of Archie comic books for $10. She got a total of 176 comic books. Donna picked up some books there as well. I managed to buy a sort of brand new looking Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I was looking to see if there was any other books in the series there but I didn’t see any. Also got Once Upon A Curse. It looks like it might be a cute and fun read. You can’t go wrong with Scholastic books.

With all books bought in the car we went into The Den for brunch. While we were waiting for our food to come, Donna and I spotted a local author who will be signing her new book “If you live like me” on Thursday night. Yes I will be there. So I went over to talk to Lori Weber for a few minutes. I wanted to let her know that I was going to be reviewing all her books this coming week and then going to the signing on Thursday.

I briefly had met Lori a little while ago when Donna and I were doing lunch at The Den. Donna graciously introduced me to her. Lori is super nice and friendly. It was a pleasure to talk to you briefly today. Looking forward to Thursday.

Meet up with local Book Bloggers

Today was my monthly meet up with Avis, Donna and Tina. It was another great meet up with some great drinks. This time I had an apple strawberry cold drink and two pots of hot chocolate. They are the best.

I also brought home the following books: Dead Cold by Louise Penny and Light on Snow by Anita Shreve. Thanks to Donna for those two books. Thank You to Tina for Fifty is Not a Four Letter Word by Linda Kelsey. Can’t wait to read them.

Since burning my hand earlier in the month I was unable to give away any books this time because I need them for my reviews. I am sure next meet up I will have quite a few to offer.

It is so much fun being able to talk about books with everyone. We always have a great time and the time always seems to go so fast. When we meet up next month we will be meeting near my house cause there is a huge library sale that we are all going to go to and then go for coffee. See you guys in May.
