It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!
Last week I managed to finish And Again by Jessica Chiarella and my review will be posted tomorrow since the book is released tomorrow.
I wasn’t sure if it was going to take me all week to read it so I didn’t have anything planned so I had to pick a new book. So I decided to dip into my BEA15 stash and I discovered that The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald is a January 19, 2016 release. Perfect. I am about half way done and will probably need to find a new book before the week is done.
I think I will leave this as is just in case so I am not pressuring myself to read to much at once and I think this is what happened the last time I did this meme. I will focus on one book and if needed I will pick another one and add it next week.
What are you reading this week?
I just pre-ordered the audio for Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend- it just sounds too good to pass up!
You will have to let me know how the audio version is
I just finished reading, ” Secondhand Charm” by Julie Barry. This was a pleasant surprise. I picked it up as a bargain book from Chapters. I definitely got my money’s worth. A delightful story involving gypsies, royalty, and lucky charms…well, if you believe in them. A strong female character makes her way through the story, but not without the help of some very special characters. This was a very enjoyable read!
So happy you enjoyed the book. Bargain books are good 🙂
And Again looks very intriguing…and The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend is one I’ve been seeing around. Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
Hi Laurel, thanks for stopping by. And Again was interesting… I picked up The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend at BEA by a total fluke and I have to say I am happy I did get it. Its been a fun read so far.
I’m so intrigued by the cover of And Again. I need to dig into my BEA stash too. I brought home so many good books and I have yet to read them.
Laura I need to start dipping more into my BEA pile too and I am determined to clean out that BEA bookcase I have. We got so many great books.
I’m really bad – I always have way too many books on the go! I admire your discipline to stick to one 🙂
I use to be like taht with numerous books going but over the years I realized doing that I am not giving my full attention to one book so I try to stick to one book at a time unless its a completely different genre of a book.
