Book Blogger New Year’s Challenge 2014 Introduction Post

I actually just saw this posted on my blog feed and had to check it out. The awesome Rachel from PARAJUNKEE.COM is hosting this fun event.

If your like me (lately) I have been having a hard time getting motivated to blog so I think this could be the thing that gets me going again. Although I have to admit that December was a really good blogging month for me.

I am determined not to make too many New Year’s resolutions in 2014 because I honestly suck at sticking with them, don’t we all? So this year I am making it a point to attempt to blog every day of 2014. Not quite sure what I will be blogging about but I will attempt to blog daily. I am also making it a point to read more then I did this past year.

Now you are probably wondering how this Book Blogger New Year’s Challenge will work right? Well I copied this from Rachel’s blog PARAJUNKEE.COM :

My First Book of 2014 Will Be……….

Its hard to believe that this is New Year’s Eve…Seriously where did 2013 go? This year literally flew by.

So after much contemplating and going through my book cases I have decided what book I will be reading tonight and into the New Year.

What will you be reading? How do you decide what you will read?

Its time to reveal the book I will be curling up on the couch with later tonight.

The book I picked was The Pledge by Kimberly Derting. Its the first book in her newest series. I have had this on my shelf for quite some time. I figured since I just got an ARC copy of her third book to review that now was the time to read the series. So this month will be Kimberly Derting month for me.

52 Week Money Challenge

I have seen this floating around for the past few years but never really considered doing this until now.

I am thinking of working my way backwards and start at week 52. I know December can usually get expensive so starting with the higher amount first might be a good idea.

Would you consider doing this?

We are thinking of going to Disney either in 2014 or 2015 so saving that money could come in handy for that.

First Book of the Year 2014

Its hard to believe that we are only three days away from 2014. Today I started to go through my books to figure out what book I want to start reading on New Years Eve.

I am not quite sure what I want to read just yet and thankfully I have a few more days left to pick one out. Do I pick out a book that I have had in my collection for awhile, and ARC or a book I got for Christmas?

What will you be reading? How do you decide what you will read?
