ABOUT THE BOOK:

In BIG GIRL PANTIES, Evanovich introduces readers to Holly Brennan—a 32-year old grieving widow in need of a change. Having spent too much time mired in sadness and grief-eating, Holly heads out of town to settle her husband’s estate and try to move on. Enter Logan Montgomery—a personal trainer to the country’s most famous professional athletes who also happens to be sitting next to her on the flight home.

Holly’s mortified by the way she’s squeezed into the airplane seat, but as they chat, Logan quickly realizes she has a sharp wit and keen insight—a welcome change from the sexy but superficial women he usually dates. When he impulsively offers to train her at his private gym, Holly surprises even herself and agrees.

Holly discovers she’s a natural athlete, and as her fitness level increases, so does a new found confidence. When Logan finally introduces Holly to his best friends, baseball superstar Chase Walker and his wife Amanda (a feisty curvy woman herself), they instantly see what Logan doesn’t; Holly is knockout. As their smoldering attraction starts to spark in earnest, Holly and Logan will have to decide if their love is for real…or just about looks.

BIG GIRL PANTIES is a fun, sexy, smart, and exceptionally saucy romp—a must-have book for the summer and a debut not to be missed.

I was lucky  enough to get to meet Stephanie very briefly at a Harper Collins party during BEA 2013 and she was so funny. She spoke briefly about her book and after hearing about it I knew I wanted to read it.

Sadly it sat on my shelf for some time before I finally got into and after reading it I was disappointed I didn’t read it sooner because I devored that book pretty quickly. This was the fast read of 2014 for me. It was literally that good that I couldn’t put the book down.

I have to say that I love the newer cover much more then the original one. What do you think?

Okay lets get into the review shall we. This is Stephanie’s debut novel and she has a sequel coming out called The Sweet Spot. It will be out July  2014 and it will be about two of the characters from this book, Amanda and Chase. Which I am excited about because I would love to hear their story.

I am a huge romantic who believes in love at first sight and that things happen for a reason. I also believe that there is much more to a person then what they look like on the outside. You can be the most beautiful person but be completely ugly on the inside.

This is the case for Holly and Logan. They are both flying out of Toronto (Canada) into New York for various reasons and both of them got bumped from first class to economy. Logan is this tall dark and handsome guy who needs the leg room and Holly is the cute bigger lady who needs the extra seat. Holly knows instantly that Logan is disgusted with her and he has a misconception about her before she even sits down.

As the story progresses we learn that Holly is a young widow and has used food to comfort herself from the pain and lose of her husband. Logan is a personal trainer who works with some of the best in the sports world. When they leave the airport Logan offers to work with Holly and surprisingly enough she accepts. I was hoping she would and she did and never backed out once from their sessions.

Within months Holly starts seeing results and I loved the banter between her and Logan throughout the book it was always back and forth.

I have to admit that I was hoping for a love interest to happen and it did happen and it wasn’t instantly. I loved how Logan was getting jealous but was trying to rationalize why it couldn’t be. I was feeling bad for Holly because she was falling for him and she knew that it wouldn’t happen and took what she could. I am sure most of us would have done the same thing. Being a little over weight doesn’t always get the good looking guys you take what you can get even if it means just fooling around knowing nothing will come it.

I loved that towards the end of the book Logan realized that he really did love her and how he stopped at nothing to get her back and that no matter what she looks like he liked her for who she was.

I literally devoured this book in two days because I thought it was that good. I loved all the characters in the book with the exception to Logan’s ex, Natalie and the guys at the gym. They were your typical jerks of the book who make fun of fat people and base everything on outer appearance.

Thanks Tasty Virtual Book Tours for allowing me to be a part of this tour. I am so happy to finally have read such a good book.
