The Mailbox Post (July29th – Aug 2nd)

Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend and to my readers in the rest of Canada I hope you enjoy your long weekend.

I thought getting back from vacation I would be on a roll but as you can see I am slipping behind rather quickly. Alot of things are going on in real life that is getting in the way of blogging and reading.

Thankfully Michael goes to a hockey camp in 16 days so he will be away all day that week and then school starts on August 29th so I am hoping that things will get back into a routine with reading and blogging again.

How is your summer going? Any vacation plans? I already had a two + week vacation and we have a weekend in the USA coming up very soon so that we can do some back to school shopping as well as some groceries. I love going to the USA for groceries because they have so many great stuff that is not available in Canada.

This week was very quiet in books as you can see and that is honestly okay. I got nothing for review and I only bought one book.

I was thrilled to see this book in trade paperback when I was at Walmart yesterday because I kind of thought that this had come out in hardcover and I honestly don’t know why I didn’t check online first which I normally do.

Anyways the book is this:

I got to meet Stephanie Evanovich at a Harper Collins party in May when I was in NYC for BEA. Stephanie was so funny and after hearing a little bit about the book I knew I wanted to read it and I was hoping that I could have nabbed a copy when I was at BEA but sadly I didn’t and I made a mental note that I would get it when it came out and I did.

So when I saw it out in trade I was thrilled. I am hoping to dig into this very very soon.

What did you get this week? Is this book on your radar?

  1. I hope to read this one soon. How great to meet Evanovich!

  2. Wow, I think that’s only in hardcover in the US. I hope things settle down soon so you have time to read it.
