Wrap up of last nights BEAtwittyparty

Last night over on twitter was the BEAtwittyparty. It was organized by Rebecca of The Book Lady’s Blog. It was a virtual party that was to coincide with the real-life BEAtweetup. It was a virtual party for all the great bloggers who were sitting at home and couldn’t make it to NYC for the BEA. There is always nex year guys. 2010 in New York City. I am ready are you?

I think it was a huge success there was alot of bloggers taking part. It was crazy as soon as you read one update about 20 would be added. The conversation was flying off the walls. I ended up switching from tweetdeck to tweet grid and then someone told me about tweet chat. That helped alot as I was able to slow down the updates. Although when I went into twitter this morning I realized I missed some comments people made to me. I am so sorry about that.

We were waiting for some BEA bloggers to come on and tell us what was happening but I guess they were busy at the BEAtweetup.

I discovered some new bloggers last night and I am looking forward to checking out your blogs and being able to talk more to you guys so that if we go to BEA next year (2010 in NYC) we all can meet up.

This morning I realized that last night I met alot of great bloggers so early next week I will be highlighting them and I invite you to check them out.

Have a great day everyone.

  1. I thought it was a blast while I was awake for it! Can’t wait for BEA 2010. If we start planning and saving now we can make it happen. =)

  2. Wow – it sounds like it was a lot of fun Cindy. I look forward to seeing who you ‘met’. And wow – you’re really thinking of going next year!

  3. Sounds like that was a lot of fun.I totally missed that.

  4. It was such an incredible event – my first Twitter party and I didn’t know what to expect. I hope we’ll have another one soon, well before the next BEA!

  5. I managed to turn my computer on in time to catch the last half of the BEAtwittyparty. I’m never sure of the time differences when these events are organised based on US timezones (I’m in Australia), but I was really pleased that I was lucky enough to join in – even if the number of tweets did make my head spin!

I’d love to be able to attend BEA, but its not likely to happen anytime soon. Being able to take part in online chats with other book bloggers is the next best thing.

I discovered some great new blogs too, as well as some more interesting people to follow on Twitter. I’m looking forward to the next party.

  6. The BEATweetUp was packed! It was loud and dark and hard to move around in, so it would have been hard to tweet. We did get to meet Laura and Fraser from Glue! They are as cute and as nice as you think they are.

  7. It was a fabulous time and a great opportunity to “meet” new people. My feed reader is running overtime with all the new goodies I’ve added. 🙂

  8. Thank you for the Follow!

Hope you get to attend Book Expo next year – it’s an event everyone should experience at least once.
