Mailbox Monday

This is what came into my house the week of April 9th to 14th.

The following was sent to me by Miriam at Hachette books.
-Follow Me by Joanna Scott. This is for a blog tour that is coming up at the end of April.
-Kiss My Tiara, Hyocrite in a Puffy White Dress and Undress me In the Temple of Heaven by Susan Jane Gilman. I took part in the Blog Talk Radio Show and it was a great funny interview that I had to read the books.
-Girls in Trucks by Katie Crouch. This was sent to me by Valerie.
-Hungry Woman In Paris by Josefina Lopez. She was interviewed on blog Talk Radio. I was listening in on the show. She also wrote the screenplay Real Women Have Curves. I have seen this movie a number of times and America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) is in the movie.

-Middle School: How to Deal by Sara Borden, Sarah Miller, Alex Stikeleather, Maria Valladares and Miriam Yelton. This was sent to me via Twitter from HolaMonkey

-Seven by Jeff Cook. I won this off of Twitter from Jeff.

-A Voyage Beyond Reason by Benjamin Wade. This was sent via Bostick Com.

The following was sent to me from Penguin Canada.
-The Girl Next Door by Elizabth Noble. This was off of Twitter.
-Loser’s Town by Daniel Depp. This is an ARC that was sent as part of the Penguin Canada Mailing Program.
-Connected Parenting by Jennifer Kolari. I was contacted to review this from a rep of Penguin Canada.

What did you get in the mail this past week?

I also bought two books this weekend as well. The Trash Planets by the Backyardigans. This was an easter gift I put in Michael’s basket. The Manny by Holly Peterson. I was walking by the shelf trying to find the kids books in Coles and this popped out at me.

What books did you buy this week?

  1. You had a great week. I can’t wait to see what you think of Hungry Woman in Paris!

  2. Have a good week, with plenty to read.

  3. Wow! A dozen books! You’re going to be busy. šŸ˜‰

There are a few there that look intriguing to me. Follow Me and Hungry Woman in Paris, especially.

  4. Looks like you have a great stack of books to read. Enjoy!!

  5. Good week! I also got Middle School, How to Deal and forgot to add it. Thanks for reminding me!

  6. Wow, great haul, Cindy! Like Myckyee, I’m curious about Follow Me, as well as Kiss My Tiara and Girls in Trucks. Oh and maybe Hungry Woman in Paris too! All this to say it sounds to me like you’ve gotten lots of good books!

  7. Thank you for stopping by the mailbox this week. We share ‘Undress Me in the Temple of Heaven’. Enjoy your books!

  8. what a great week Cindy. I love Gilman!

  9. Cindy, I stand corrected: looks like I did express an interest in the Tiara book after all. What was I thinking? (The weird part is, I think I’m more interested in her other two books than in this one!) I’ll give it a try anyway, and let you know what I think!
